WILLIAM G. GOODE - Managing Partner
William G. Goode is the founder and managing partner of the Law Office of William G. Goode. Mr. Goode is admitted to practice law in all of the state, county and local courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Goode has a Bachelors Degree in Economics for the College of William & Mary, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Richmond.
In addition to being admitted to the Bar, Mr. Goode also has an MBA in Corporate Finance from Dowling University and formerly held New York State Life, Health and Accident Insurance licenses as well as NASD Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses. Mr. Goode has litigated claims in both federal and state courts in a wide variety of commercial claims, including corporate dissolution and derivative actions, contract and real estate disputes and estate litigations as well as debt collection.
Mr. Goode also works on structuring, negotiating and documenting a variety of complex transactions on behalf of regionally and nationally known clients. He counsels public and private corporations in major transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnering arrangements and the reorganization of business enterprises and assets, across a variety of industries. He also represents corporations in formation, early stage and venture capital financing, and advises clients in private placements and public offerings of securities and franchising.
Mr. Goode currently resides in East Setauket, New York with his wife, Karen and two children, William & Caitlyn.
